We are excited to introduce you to Michael Barber! He joined Woodard Brothers as a Sales Manager in November 2020, and he is responsible for building and managing the company’s sales department. Woodard Brothers is unlike any other warehouse and logistics company, and Michael is excited to use his skills and passion to help grow the business.
“As the sales manager, I’m tasked with increasing sales, recruiting new sales reps, and maximizing efficiencies which adds up to more business for the company and more opportunities for adults with disabilities to have a place to work and learn,” he said. “When we help others in our community and provide a needed service in the process, we all succeed.”
In a typical day (if there is such a thing), Michael responds to inquiries via email and phone calls, prepares quotes for new business, leads production meetings, and helps ensure that all client needs are being met. Michael says that it’s been a lot to learn, but that the Woodard Brothers team is welcoming and available to answer questions along the way!
One thing Michael doesn’t need to worry about learning is how to operate machinery while in the warehouse. Despite loving to watch car restoration shows, he admits he “is terrible with tools.” Don’t worry, Michael; we won’t make you responsible for any heavy machinery – we’ll leave that to the in-house pros!
